From the Dell spare parts department.....You would be better off buying your RAM off the WEB such as crucial.com or at your local computer store or nearest circuit city, the price is going to be a lot cheaper than Dells..their prices are outrages......you can buy a 512 stick for about a hundred dollars compared to dells price of over 200-300 dollars and it works perfectly.........I purchased 512 for my 8600 and payed about 100 dollars at circuit city and it works great so why pay more?

To add to the above, your dell likely uses Crucial(Micron) memory, so adding a 512MB stick of crucial are the same pieces that dell sells at their silly markup.
The i5150 has two user accessible RAM slots. Check if you have the 256MB in 2x128MB or 1x256.... but either way you can add a 512MB stick for a total of 640MB or 768MB with no problems.

Well if I have a dell inspiron 5150 how many slots could have ?
if it has more than one slot, then I'll be able to have a 256 + 512 = 768 mb ?
