I am  generally supportive of Dell, but in this case you clearly have a reason to be unhappy. What a monumental waste of your (and their) time.

Moderators generally peruse these pages, so I hope you get some type of response.

Hang in there. In the end, I think Dell does try to do the right thing. However, it can be a circuitous route sometimes.
