Welcome to the Community. These error codes/messages are usually created when an antivirus/firewall program or a Rights Management (DRM) software installed onto your computer isn't compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista. Did you install any Antivirus software prior to this error? Did you do a microsoft update before this could happen? Blaming Dell for this will be unfair, as this is a software issue and nothing to do with the hardware on the laptop.
I have 1 computer left that works and my other tower did the same thing. so now we have to spend money on another computer and its money I don't have. there is nothing else I can do?
You can try and do a system restore, by pressing F8 at the Dell logo on startup, and select repair my computer, select your language and keyboard layout and click next, click on your user name and not Admin, select system restore, and restore your computer to a date when it was working fine, select a date which is Bold. If this does not work, then we do not have many options.
i have had 4 computers in the last 13 years and all of which stopped working... it doesn't matter what company its from.and only one thing happened out of the 10 dumb things Users do to their computer www.techrepublic.com/.../6073222
which was the 1st one and that was the tower that recently go hit by lighting even though I thought our multi plug outlet had surge protection and then I look in tiger direct and find that a surge protector costs between 80-256 $
