U2711 Display Port with Dell OptiPlex Desktops Flickering

Question

Hi All, I have a U2711 using over 3 month with DVI no problems on my Main Desktop. But now I have another desktop it is OptiPlex 960 Desktops that only come with a VGA and a Display Port..... and it is a 2009 model with PD E5200 CPU, Q45 Mother with GMA 4500 etc that latest driver ... So I find back the Display Port cable that come with my U2711, connect it with the OptiPlex 960 Desktops, just I discover that have a problems with the Display Port on U2711, it will flickering on some case, no any time cycle, sometime it will 10 minutes up, sometime it just second to second. For example watch web site with complex content. But if let the windows 7 not do anything, static image etc, it will not flickering. My U2711 is bought from Dell at June 2011, and it is A06 version. Any user there using Display Port with U2711 have the same problems like me? How to fix this? It make me unhappy, since the OptiPlex 960 Desktops only the display port can work at 2560x1440 native. And the Monitor price is not cheap too.

So you tested the U2711 DP (DisplayPort) on multiple desktop PCs?

I only have this OptiPlex 960 have the Display Port Only!

If the U2711 DP works on other PCs, then the root cause must be the Optiplex 960 DP. Repost the issue on the Desktop Video Forum board and let's see what the guys say.
