"Hello.
I have installed MS SCCM SP2, and the Dell Client Deployment Pack for MS SCCM 2007. It is running on a Server 2003 box, 64-bit host OS. I have several different models of laptops/desktops that we use, and for all of them (that were provided), the Windows 7 driver CAB files were imported successfuly. No matter which XP CAB file I try to import, it crashes SCCM - the console becomes non-responsive, and an error shows up. I can't post the error here because of the character limit, but it ONLY crashes ConfigMgr when trying to import the XP CAB files. All of the Windows 7 files import successfully."
I'm getting exactly the same issue, however, our SCCM 2007 R3 SP2 server is running on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterpriose box. We have SQL Server 2005 SP3 running on a separate Wndows Server 2003 R2 Standard x86 box. The error begins with; System.Xml.XPath.XPathException: Expression must evaluate to a node-set.

Thanks Warren, any luck with speaking to the product team? I saw another post on the web that said that someone else with the problem had tried putting the SCCM Console on a Windows 7 PC and was able to import files successfully from there. I haven't tried that myself yet.
Sorry, I don't have an answer yet from the product team yet. I have one question, are you running this from the server console? I've seen some posts on other forums that make it sound like the issue is limited to ConfigMgr consoles that are on the server but not remote consoles.
Hi Warren, I am running it on the server via RDP session... our server is running on VMware VSphere 4. I haven't tried it with the SCCM console installed on a workstation yet. Thanks.
"Is there any update on this? I get the same thing when trying to create an XP storage driver package"
Im also intrested in an update, we run 2008 r2 with sccm 2007 sp2 r2 with dcpp 1.2 a02
I have no problem importing win7 driver cabs but if i import xp driver cab and let the "create mass storage package...." checkbox ticked, the console crashes.
If i untick this checkbox the driver cab is imported successfully.
I have not yet tested this on a remote console, we currently just have the console installed on the sccm server itself.

I have tried installing the admin console on a different machine, and the problem is still there. no change.
OS is still 2008 r2, have not tried client OS...
You will have to import the XP driver packs without the storage driver for the cab to import successfully. This will be addressed in the next version of DCDP in June/July.
Hi,
The current DCDP works when running SCCM SP2 R2 on X86. As soon as you run it on x64 you will hit the bug when you select to import XP storage drivers.
As ludlo stated, thanks for the update guys. Glad to know it's being fixed.... now if only I could get rid of XP from the environment and go to Win7 already. :)
