Actually on my third call to Dell, I was informed that the U2412M is in fact protected by a 3 year warranty from the date of its manufacture despite their inability to assign me an order# or service tag.
Correct. They must provide the original Dell order number or we cannot verify what warranty they purchased. I would return it to them and buy directly from us.
