I think I already answered your question on your previous post. If it says unknown next to ac adapter in the Bios, try another working adapter, if it still says the same, you will need a new motherboard.

Hello!, I am not agreed with the explanation about to get a new motherboard.; because I bougth a new adapter to my E-15 and it worked for a few months and after taht period I got a message that the batery does not charge. I made a test using the old adapter and it works!. I think there is a strange situation which is an opportunity for del to solve it I give us the clients a solution because I do not believe that the main part of this situation has been caused by the motherboard, I think there is a problem with the adapter, please let us your comments

If one adapter works but the other doesn't, the one that doesn't is faulty.  If two adapters are both "unknown", then the problem is with either the power jack or the mainboard.
