No one can day anything officially about the release date... but there are apparently several new systems in the works, being the Inspiron 9100 and Inspiron XPS. Do a forum search for these and you should find some topics on them where some details have been leaked (eg: Prescott P4 processor, M11, etc).
Can anyone please tell me what is on the drawing board to replace the Inspiron 8600? Are they going up to 9000? Will it be release in Q1 of this year? What kinda of design will it fallow? Centrino still?
I'm hoping to have the funds to buy a new laptop by the end of this month. However if I know that something "greater" is coming up only 2-3 weeks later I'll of course wait. Dell Guy can you say anything about this officially??
There could be an inspiron 8601. Who says they need to jump 400 numbers?
Of course, the longer the time since the last model, the greater the chances are of a new release. For those who love to speculate; continue to do so and eventually, it shall come to pass.
It's getting closer. Another month or two and manufacturers will start releasing new models. Which manufacturers will be first? It's anybody's guess...anyone care to wager?
