I was using my dell XPS L401X and suddenly it goes off and do not turn on again. I'm also Brazilian, it should be Design problem.
My AC adapter turn its blue light on, but when I plug it in laptop the power AC/Battery LEDs do not turn on. Power button doesn't respond.... laptop is DEAD!!!!!! DEAD, DELL!!!! A 1 and a half year laptop DEAD!!!!!!!
If the power button light indicates solid white it means the system is getting power and the issue could be with the LCD or the integrated video card. Lets try these steps to isolate the issue further.
1. Connect an external desktop monitor to the laptop and switch the display by pressing Fn and F8 on the laptop.
Replacing the fan should help in fixing this problem. Please click on my username and add me as a friend. Send me a direct message with the service tag of the computer and name of the registered owner. I will be able to check the warranty status.
With an active warranty I can arrange the replacement of the parts needed.
I got replaced fan and problem has been resolved. fan, heatsink and thermal pad cost me around 5000 INR. but today the laptop got into the same state today.

If the LED on the power supply goes out on connection to the system, it means the system board is faulty.

Hi dineshprjpt,
If the power button light indicates solid white it means the system is getting power and the issue could be with the LCD or the integrated video card. Lets try these steps to isolate the issue further.
1. Connect an external desktop monitor to the laptop and switch the display by pressing Fn and F8 on the laptop.
2. Run the LCD built in self test (LCD BIST) using this link: http://dell.to/UMTbOO
3. Run the Dell hardware diagnostics using the below given link: http://dell.to/Kf9wXD
4. Make a note of any beep codes during the start up process.
Please reply with the results.
