This problem have all users with Dell Vostro v131.

Hi!

If you do not release the bios with the ability to disable the "Intel Turbo Boost" - I'll never buy products of DELL.

Also, I will not recommend Dell products to friends.

Actually most Dell's notebook can disable the Intel Turbo Boost, that is "Intel Speed-step technology".

I have tried it.

When it is disabled, the CPU clock when the notebook is idle would be lowered (to about 800MHz to 1GHz).
And when the notebook is in high loading, the CPU clock will not exceed the normal frequency.

From my point of view, Dell's notebook are generally of higher quality than other brands (i.e. you can use it for many years),
however, indeed they should also focus on other issues like fan noise, sound quality, etc.

P.S. My V131's CPU fan is quite noisy during loads, but if I use a cooler under the notebook, everything is fine.
