14z? Wow! I bought Inspiron 14z on the last week, but it does not have backlit keyboard. But I want backlit :) (I work with such thing on Macbok - it's handy)
When I ordered my XPS-15 I thought the lighted keyboard was standard. I was never presented with the option to add it. Yes it is a must have for me. After trying to deal with Dell online. I can honestly say I wish I never bought the laptop in the first place.

I found that when I tried one I will never have a non-backlit KB again!

I enjoy my backlit keyboard. I would not have a system without one. Works real nice in a dar room and easy to see the keys.
