Dell does not repair monitors or sell internal monitor components. We do not even have monitor repair/disassembly documentation. We simply replace them while under warranty. You can try these 3rd party repair sites:

http://www.lcdrepair.com/
http://www.ercservice.com/Express/monitor-repair.html
http://www.shopjimmy.com/dell
http://www.omi-monitors.co.uk/

All, we cannot replace monitors once the purchased warranty has expired. The factory team has not seen this issue on returned monitors when we ran the Factory diagnostics.

I think you're missing the point here Chris. What are the odds of my monitor (as other people's monitors) dying almost exactly when the warranty is up (all with the same issue). You'd think Dell would do the right thing by being good to their customers and making this right. Now if it was 3 months past i might understand, but 1 month....come on. Good customer service is what brings customers back. I can post a youtube video to show what it does if you'd like to see for yourself.

and that is your right as a consumer.

Understand, this is my assessment of Dell policies which dictates what I can and cannot do. You may certainly escalate to an Order Support manager, http://dell.to/ucbBIj. Explain your side of the debate and my assessment of Dell policies. There opinion may differ from mine, who knows...

Which is why I choose to not purchase from Dell in the future.

I cannot speak to why they failed when they did. Based on the total number of SP2309W sold worldwide, this issue is not being seen on returned monitors. 1 day or 3 months, it doesn't matter when it comes to the end of the warranty you purchased. If we make policy exceptions for 7 forum users, 10,000 users will come out of the woodwork with a myriad of reasons why they should also get preferential treatment. It doesn't make fiscal sense to open that Pandora's box.
