Have you been able to move the cursor via touchpad when you entered the BIOS (F2) ? If not it's a hardware problem => loose cable connection (touchpad to mainboard),touchpad itself or mainboard.
If touchpad is fine in BIOS try using system restore and choose a restore point before the problem appeared. => press the start button and type "system restore" (without the quotes) and press the Enter key - follow the instructions
