I feel like I am asking my grandson for help as his name is also Elijah, but with his last name being Whitney we just call him Eli.
I am in desperate need of the above mentioned starter disc. Service tag # is <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> /Express service code is <ADMIN NOTE: Express service code removed per privacy policy> if I am reading it correctly. It is a bit worn. Thank you so much if you can assist me.
Please click on this link: http://dell.to/19ktZc6 and fill the form with the required details. You will need to fill the details and hopefully the information you provide will match with the information on records so that we can verify the information and ship the installation disc. In case you already have the disc and the product key is worn out, you can still use the disc as product key is pre-activated.

Sir, I have the same problem: no recovery CD with my Dell Mini 1012, but have authentication key on bottom of chassis. It came with Windows Starter 7. I can send key to you privately for validation. I tried to install BackTrack 5r2 as a dual boot option and completely wiped out Win 7! Now I'm sad I've lost my OS. Please Help!! Respectfully Requested.

May I know if you have tried submitting a request for the disk using the link I mentioned in my previous post?
If you have not and if you are from the USA please refer the following link to submit a request for backup disks for your computer: http://dell.to/10HTxIb
Unfortunately I do not have a Customer Number as this Notebook was a RE-gift new in the box from a friend who owns an XPS already. My product key is authentic and an OEM CD will load fine if I get one.
Any more suggestions ? I did apply on the link anyways and explained the same in Comments;
Follow my Windows Reinstallation Guide/A Clean Install of Windows 7. Use a Digital River .iso (Step 1b) in your case use the 32 bit Home Premium .iso and create a bootable .iso. Ensure that you delete the ei.cfg file on the bootable USB as instructed otherwise you will not be given the option to install Windows 7 Starter.
For Microsoft Windows 7 Product Activation as you have wiped the system already so you cannot carry out Step 1c and as I don't have the ABR Dell Windows 7 Starter Activation File you cannot carry out Step 11b. As you have the 25 Digit Product Key follow the alternative Step 11e and active via automated Microsoft phone activation.
It's very simple if you have: •Service Tag # from bottom of chassis • Date of purchase • Order # They FedEx'd it to me at warp speed! Go to the reply by a Dell rep on my original post and click the HyperLink they directed me to. Fill out the required form and wait for the reply to come by email shortly. You can also find the form on their site by looking for it; forget the exact sub-heading I clicked though. Support sounds about right as the heading though. Good Day.

Hi Miton,
Please refer the following article to optimize the performance of a Windows 7 based computer: http://dell.to/11tAt58
If you want to restore the computer to factory settings, you may refer the following article: http://dell.to/Z1FavZ
Note: Factory restore will lead to data loss, ensure to backup important data before attempting it.
Do let me know if you have any further questions.

Have your friend register the system - then he or she can order the disc.
