I need a windows seven starter disc as well as I cannot recover my Inspiron with the instructions provided on line and I do not see a recovery partition. Thanks.
I have a same proplem. My HDD is corrupted and lost the ghost drive containing the OS recovery. So would you mind sending me a copy of Windows 7 Starter?
Microsoft have removed the Digital River .isos so Windows 7 is no longer downloadable... In 2 days Windows 10 will be released. Microsoft have not yet stated the options for those with a Windows 7 OEM license and a failed hard drive.
No I can't it really takes almost a hour from the time you turn the laptop on just to get to the main screen and then I can't do anything any suggestions

Hi I am having the same issue. Where can I get windows starter 7? there is no cd rom on the dell inspiron mini 1012 i have so how can i reload this?

Can you boot into your Windows 7 Installation? If so you should proceed with the Windows 10 upgrade and then clean Reinstall Windows 10.

If you can boot into Windows 7, prepare for the Windows 10 upgrade:

If you can't then try Clean Installing Windows Insider 10130 and using it as an intermediate step to get Windows 10 Pro:
http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/windows-xpvista-%e2%86%92-windows-10-free-upgrade/
Note you may have to use 32 Bit Windows 10 for this model.
