We appreciate your effort in bringing this concern to our notice. To begin with we apologize for the inconvenience caused. The battery issue can be fixed by performing few troubleshooting steps. Request you to update a Latest version of BIOS software which can be found using the below mentioned link. During the update please connect the charger and once the update starts please do not use the system until the system restarts.
Also request you to check the health of the battery and the ac adapter status by right clicking on battery icon towards the bottom left of the computer screen next to the current time. Once you right click on the battery icon you will see an option which says battery health and under that you will be able to see the health of the battery and the ac adapter status.
i did check the battery status and its showing 25% of the full capacity... how could it reduces to that much amount in just a year this is insane.... dell must have provide me a falty one
The 25% shown in the battery reading the total amount of battery charged. So the battery had 25% of charge left in it. Please check for the battery health in the same Battery Dialog box. Also update the BIOS software of the system which can be found in the link mentioned previously.
