AIO 922 is not compatible with WIN 7 and thats why you dont find any drivers available on support site for WIN 7 , but you can try to install Vista 32bit drivers and install them in a compatibility mode .
But there will be some issue with the funtionality .
That is what says most topics on it. As written in my post, I installed the vista driver with compatibilty mode. Result : it is possible to scan but NOT to print.
As i said before this printer is not compatible with Win 7 and drivers are also not available , and will work with partial funtionality in Compatibility mode .
As many other people say, it is still possible to make it work with whatever compatibility mode. See for example link in my post.
Since other people made it work, it shall work on my computer as well isn't it? What is strange is that for most users printing is not an issue. Scanning is...
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).
Followed the steps unsuccessfully. The printer is not available when trying to print a document from any program. However there is a new printer in control panel whose name "composite usb device". Please have a look on the belowed print screen :
- installation of the vista 64 driver with compatibility mode vista SP2
sorry the image won't show up. Basically it show the usb composite printer with a yellow exclamation mark
Additionally, when right clicking on the printer and running the problem solver tool, it indicates that the printer driver is not installed and tries to find unsuccessfully.
Did you install/reinstall the operating system recently?
What is the make and model of your computer and opertaing system> 32-bit or 64-bit? Is the operating system installed in English or another language? Did you upgrade the computer to Windows 7 or did the computer come with Windows 7?
Did you install/reinstall the operating system recently?
Yes, I did install it a month ago.
What is the make and model of your computer and opertaing system> 32-bit or 64-bit? Is the operating system installed in English or another language? Did you upgrade the computer to Windows 7 or did the computer come with Windows 7?
It is a dell computer Vostro 3550 with windows ultimate 64-bit in French. This is NOT an upgrade from vista or xp.
What virus program and firewall are you using?
Kaspersky is installed as antivirus and firewall. During the installation, I just turned it off to make sure it does not make trouble. Moreover Windows firewall is unactivated.
Just installed the Windows 7 64bit on a new partition and followed the list step by step to install the driver starting with Notebook System Software and chipset. Afterwards I ran the cleanup patch and installed the vista 64 drivers with compatibility mode. Well it failed again...
Please let me add that the cleanup patch was not able to stop until the computer was restarted. I guess it is not so important since Printer Drivers were installed on a fresh Windows Installation.
Install the Vista 64-bit drivers in the Vista SP2 Compatibility mode You may or may not get a message the printer is not connected.
Navigate to (C:\Program Files\Dell 922\Drivers) There you'll see an English Folder. Create a new folder and name it French. Copy all the files inside the English folder, then paste them to the French Folder.
Now install the Vista 64-bit drivers in the Vista SP2 compatibility mode. You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on)

Stanislas,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Links to the patch/drivers can be found at...

Stanislas,
Let's go step by step. I can get the printer to work but need a few issues clarified first.
When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Start with the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.
