Hi oborazan,

Welcome to the Dell Community.

I understand that you get video artifacts during gameplay and the game freezes as well. I appreciate that you tried various steps to resolve this. I would request you to follow these steps

1. Click “Start”>> Type “Device Manager” in Search Programs and Files text box>> Locate “Display Adapters in the devices list>>Expand it>> Right Click the driver and select “Uninstall”.

2. Reboot PC.

3. Please install the drivers by following this link.

www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats

Please download and save the file. Once saved, right click the file and select “Run as administrator”.  Please follow the onscreen instructions to install the driver. Reboot PC.

Please try these steps and let me know of the outcome.

Glad to be of assistance

Thanks,

Manpreet

No, sorry it didn't work. I tried it three times, tried cleaning all the remaining files with driver sweeper. Still getting artifacts. This computer seems to be faulty. But I want to try reinstalling Windows. However I can't find the Windows CoA. It's not on the bottom of the laptop like usual.

Same thing happened when I played a 1080i video in Media Player Classic using the ATI GPU. First artifacts all over the screen which appeared as red-white dots, then application crashed. Should I return this or get a repair? I bought it during the sale from Dell Australia website. Where should I go for an exchange, return or repair?

I reinstalled drivers, made recovery, did a complete clean reinstall of windows with just drivers installed, still have the same problem... This laptop is defective. What's the warranty situation if I disassemble it and check the VGA cooling?

sounds like a hardware fault, you should contact dell tech support - they can organise a tech to come out and fix the laptop after diagnosing (and im guessing you'll get more progress rather than using the forum..)

I am also facing this issue!!!! This is frustrating. It was working fine for the past few days then now everything stopped. It is as though I did not upgrade my PC at all. DELL BETTER DO SOMETHING QUICK PLEASE :D

I took it to the Dell 'Authorised' repair centre in Sydney to which to get to I used 2 trains and 1 bus, two weeks ago. They changed the motherboard and it's working fine now. However, when I received my laptop, I saw that these so called technicians did a very bad job. First thing I noticed was the bottom cover wasn't fit properly; the cover was sticking out over the speaker grill... Second, I noticed that the activity LEDs on the front of the laptop didn't work. They didn't connect that cable. Third, one screw is missing and all the screws were fit in so tightly they were all damaged at the top.

I will never ever buy a Dell again. I was so excited with this laptop but I couldn't use it as I liked and now I have to live with a 'damaged' laptop. They don't have proper quality control, their service centre doesn't know a thing about laptops, and the service centre is so far away from the city centre it took me 1 hour to get there. I recommended this laptop to my roommate and he bought one too. I wish I waited until I discovered this problem.

Thanks Dell for a wonderful experience.

Definitely you will not get any more of my money.

I have the same problem. In League, grass particles will glitch all over the screen.

In fallout 3, the world is fine but all character models are glitchy and have bits flying out of them.

Same with Anno 2070, all buildings are producing "artifacts".

I have found the same fix, When I unplug my computer it goes to power saving mode, and everything runs slower but without artifacts. Faulty computer?
