i have the 1564 and was getting wierd screen flickers and white screen. it ended up being a faulty webcam that they replaced with another faulty webcam...so i just disconnected the webcam cable from the cam and go without...no problems since

Welcome to the Community.
I regret for the inconvienence caused due to this concern.
If i have understood the concern correctly, The system has a white screen on bootup when using only the battery.
To resolve this you can try below mentioned steps.
You can update the Bios, Chipset drivers and Video Drivers to the latest version.You can use this link for the same.www.dell.com/.../Index

still i am facing same issue. i upgraded BIOS , ChipSet and Video drivers. but issue not resolved. kindly help me....
