{MOVED}Audio speakers not getting on after removal of headphones.

Question

Hi there,         I have got a Dell XPS L502X. My audio system is Waves Maxx Audio 3.0. There are 3 jacks available. One of the output jack is S/P DIF. Whenever I plug in my headphone it gives no problems. But when I remove my headphone from the jack it continues to show that the jack is plugged in and the speakers wont work. After the first time it doesnt matter how many times i plug the jack in and out the speakers will not be on till the time i restart my system. This problem continues to persist even after i restart my system. it takes 3-4 restarts before i get lucky and the jack shows its unplugged and the speakers start working. I have run the recovery disk, after full formatting of the system and reinstallation of windows as well as the drivers. The problem is still persisting. I would be grateful if anybody can provide a solution to this problem....

Hi,

Try reading this wiki Headphone Jack FAQ from Jimco : en.community.dell.com/.../19748041.aspx

After running the Diagnostics if its turns out to be failed sense pin causing this issue,than the entire system board needs to be replaced,as this system model does not have a separate Audio Jack Circuit Board.
