Can I get an update on this? All Windows 7 powersave options should be set to off or never. Not on. You said it worked for two years. Are you saying that the HDMI function worked for two years?
* Power off the monitor * Power off the settop box * Disconnect all cabling from the bottom and/or sides of the monitor (especially the power cord) * While disconnected, press and hold the monitor power button down for 3 seconds * Reconnect the settop box to the monitor via HDMI cable * Reconnect the power cord to the monitor * Power on the settop box * Power on the monitor if it did not automatically come on when you plugged in the power cord * Press the monitor Input Source Select button and switch to HDMI
Yes, it work almost three year, as does the new replacement, US U2410 received late last week.
All the ports on the 2408WFP are of a poor design, with no self-healing and/or protection, with no protection against surges, or spikes, U2410 design different, better but not great.
