You would have to call Dell Spare Parts to see if the five-digit part number for the M10 is even loaded into their database yet.  Otherwise, you could wait and it will eventually be posted in this forum.

I'll be ordering this bad boy as soon as it becomes available - anyone that can point me to a guide on the 8600's gpu replacement?

Check the System User's Guide for the Inspiron 8600.  You can find it by clicking on Reference above, then going to User's Guides, then Systems, etc.

 

I don't think he want to since he wants the part # of the MR9600 not his own videocard.

I was offering the location for instructions on replacing the video card.  I do not yet have a part number for the ATi 9600 card.

 

Just got off the phone with spare parts, they claim the SKU given above is a factory only part. That it can only be gotten with a new system.

Anyone care to comment?

Any idea when the part will be avaliable for "replacement"? Soon I hope... I can't wait to get my hands on the M10!!

That SKU probably is factory only.  At some point it should become available in the spare parts department.  For now they are going to be using all their stock for new parts in new laptops.  People actually have to buy them and have them for awhile before spare parts needs them to replace defective parts.  I know everyone wants one right now (myself included) but we are going to have to wait patiently until spare parts gets them.
