The 32M is not your video RAM - it's a fixed frame buffer.  The system will allocate video RAM as needed - there's no way to manually change the Z-buffer or the allocation.

No, adding faster RAM won't improve video performance - the only way to do that is with a new system that has a better video chip in it.
