Hi,

Let's run a self-test on the monitor to determine the monitor's functionality. Please follow these steps to run the self-test:

  1. Please turn off both; your computer and the monitor.
  2. Disconnect the video cable from the back of the computer. Please remove white connector and the blue connector cables from the back of the computer.
  3. Turn on the monitor.
  4. If the monitor cannot sense a video signal and is working correctly, the floating dialog box should appear on-screen (against a black background). Also, depending upon the selected input, one of the dialog boxes shown below will continuously scroll through the screen.

  5. This box also appears during normal system operation if the video cable is disconnected or damaged.
  6. Please turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the monitor.

You may also try to run the built-in diagnostic tool
NOTE: You can run the built-in diagnostics only when the video cable is unplugged and the monitor is in self-test mode.
To run the built-in diagnostics:

  1. Please disconnect the video cable(s) from the back of the monitor. The monitor goes into the self-test mode.
  2. Press and hold Button 1 and Button 4 on the front panel simultaneously for 2 seconds. A gray screen appears.
  3. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities.
  4. Press Button 4 on the front panel again. The color of the screen changes to red.
  5. Inspect the display for any abnormalities.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to inspect the display in green, blue, black and white screens.

The test is complete when the white screen appears. To exit, press Button 4 again. An image for the front panel buttons is shown below.

If the line appears at the bottom of the screen during the self-test, let me know and I will help you accordingly.
