Inspiron 17R SE GPU bug after power disconnect.

Hello, the Inspiron 17R SE has an bug (probably in bios) that causes Nvidia GT650M to be stuck at 745MHz if you disconnect power supply and then reconnect it. It should normally boost to 835MHz, but after disconnecting and reconnecting power supply it only runs at 745MHz until computer is switched off and on again, sometimes I even have to remove battery and disconnect power supply while it's off to 'reset' it to get 835MHz GPU speed again. Any chance to get an bios update to fix this issue? Already updated to A03 and it's not fixed in this version. The GPU bug also appears if you start programs that fully utilize the CPU, then it automatically drops to 745MHz and never go back to 835MHz. RegardsTor Magne - Norway

Nope, bet it's an bios bug. But I have my doubts that Dell will fix it.

the asus is not perfect either, it throttles the cpu under high load, touchpad is horrible. but speakers are better and gpu doesn't throttle. I'd stick with the dell

Have exactly the same issue reported here; with the latest (A03) BIOS applied. Very frustrating since there's a noticable impact on gaming framerates when this occurs. It's not related at all to heating since temperatures stay reasonable... Great machine otherwise! Dell, please fix this!

Same issues for me. However i dont see a pattern if this happens after power disconnect. I have to flash the bios again to get the boost back.
