Have exactly the same issue reported here; with the latest (A03) BIOS applied. Very frustrating since there's a noticable impact on gaming framerates when this occurs. It's not related at all to heating since temperatures stay reasonable... Great machine otherwise! Dell, please fix this!

Nope, bet it's an bios bug. But I have my doubts that Dell will fix it.

the asus is not perfect either, it throttles the cpu under high load, touchpad is horrible. but speakers are better and gpu doesn't throttle.
I'd stick with the dell

Same issues for me. However i dont see a pattern if this happens after power disconnect. I have to flash the bios again to get the boost back.
