P513w does not recognize new paper placed in paper guide

I have had my P513w for only 8 months and it's worked great until recently.  During one print job a few weeks ago the printer ran out of paper.  After adding more the printer would not recognize that new paper was added.  I've changed my paper several different times to make sure I'm using paper that is wrinkle free.  I've also checked for any paper jams although I don't have that error message.  I've tried printing a test page and continue to get "Out of Paper" message.

Could there be something wrong with the feeder?

Hi lisa-powell,

To resolve your problem we can try two steps on your printer.

First we will need to remove the flee power from your printer. To do so please follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, and then wait 30 seconds.

2. Insert the power cord into the wall outlet, and then turn on the printer.

Incase this does not make it work; please follow the step mentioned below.

Reset the printer so that it would revert to default setting.

Note: Resetting to factory default settings will delete all the printer settings you have previously selected.

1. From the printer control panel, press the wrench symbol.

2. Press the up or down arrow button to scroll to Defaults, and then press ‘OK’.

3. Press the up or down arrow button to scroll to Set Defaults, and then press ’OK’.

4. Press the up or down arrow button to scroll to Use Factory, and then press ’OK’.

5. When prompted to set the initial settings of your printer, make your selections using the printer control panel buttons.

You should now see a message that says; ‘Initial Setup Complete’ on the display.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks and Regards,

Ravi Chandra BC
