It seems that you have not assigned that particular game to the required Graphics. Please follow the below mentioned steps to assign an application or a program to the Graphics Processor:-
1. Click on start – write “NVidia control panel” - Open the NVIDIA Control Panel.
2. Select Manage 3D Settings.
3. Click on the Program Settings tab.
4. Select a program to customize: - click on Add.
5. Browse to the application / game and open the executable file by clicking Open.
6. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program- click on the tab and select High Performance NVidia processor.
7. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program- click on the tab and select High Performance NVidia processor.
Note: - Same steps can be followed to assign the Integrated Graphics to a program that requires less performance and more battery backup.

Thanks for the quick reply, but not only have I used the "switchable graphics," but also the 7730m is the AMD card, not nvidia.
