Hi Devilush,

To use the PS3 on the same network as your system, try the following steps:

1. Connect the PS3 to the router using an Ethernet cable. You can check your connection by going to Settings > Network Settings.
2. Go to PS3 Settings > Network Settings > Media Server Connection on your PS3 and set it to ‘Enabled’.
3. Choose the option that says ‘Internet Connection Settings’ and then select ‘Wired Connection’. Select ‘Address Settings’ and then choose the option that says ‘Easy’. Click on ‘Save’ and then choose ‘Test Connection’ to complete the setup on your PS3.
4. On your computer, click on ‘Start’.
5. Choose ‘Control Panel’ and then click on ‘Network Sharing Center’. Choose the option that says ‘View Computers and Devices’ and then click on the link for the PS3 to connect it to the network.

Let me know if you need any information or assistance. I will be glad to assist.

I understand that you are connected to the wireless Internet and want to use system's vacant Ethernet port to connect PS3 to the system and share computer’s Internet connection with it.

Please try the following steps:

  1. Log on to the Windows host computer (the one connected to the Internet) as an Administrator
  2. Go to Network Connections in your Control Panel by going to Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center and then click "Change adapter settings" on the menu on the left.
  3. Right-click your Internet connection that you want to share (e.g., Local Area Connection) and click Properties.
  4. Click the Sharing tab.
  5. Check the "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" option. (Note: for the sharing tab to show up, you will need to have two types of network connections: one for your Internet connection and another that the client computers can connect to, such as a wireless adapter.)
  6. Optional: If you want other network users to be able to control or disable the Internet connection, select that option.
  7. You can also optionally allow other network users to use services running on your network, such as mail servers or web servers, under the Settings option.
  8. Once Internet connection sharing is enabled, you can connect PS3 to the system using Ethernet cable.
