The Dell Inpiron N4010 reimage can be performed in two different ways, I am giving both option as I am not sure how you are trying to reimage the computer:
(1) There will be a copy of the recovery partition image setup on the computer at the time of first setup
Follow the steps below to reimage with an image:
(i) Remove all CDs/DVDs from the computer and restart it.
(ii) At the Dell logo, keep tapping the F8 key
(iii) On the advanced boot menu screen, use the up/down keys to highlight Repair your computer.
(iv) Select a keyboard layout and press next
(v) Select login id and password and then click ok.
(vi) On the System recovery options menu, click Dell Data Safe Restore and Emergency backup and follow the on screen instructions.
(vii) Once it is done restart the computer.
(2) By using a recovery disc-
(i) Insert a Disc and turn on the computer.
(ii) At the Dell Logo, Keep tapping F12 key.
(iii) Boot menu appears, select CD/DVD/CD-RW drive option.
(iv) Welcome screen appear, select ‘continue with your system recovery disc’ option and click next.
(v) Follow the onscreen instructions, the test will be completed and system will restart.

Hi SPW1,
I request you to tell me the complete error message so that I can help you.
There is no reimaging media, you will have to purchase a recovery cd.
