Are you getting any HDMI audio through the TV?

yes i'm getting just stereo

I don't know much that is not in the HDMI Audio FAQ. You have to have a source of 5.1 audio and a player like PowerDVD. A couple of people said that if there is an option to select s/pdif in Power DVD it works better.
