Yes, Vincent, Dell has put me off especially in support to the average user (non-org, non-gov).  When an item has a dramatic failure without obvious cause and when the device is < 2 years old, one would have liked to believe that a company would 'step up.'  But, those days are no longer and Consumer Reports has the right grading.  I am not even interested in replacing because for those with visual and / or neurological handicap, Windows 8 OS may not be a good idea.  One would have to be allowed a serious evaluation before even considering it.

I also have had the same problem with absolutely no help from Dell except for them to tell me my warranty has expired. By how much, a few months.  I find it so unfair that with the hundreds of customers having the very same problem, that they don't issue a recall.  I wonder what the better business bureau would have to say about it. Just sayin.I will never recommend, nor buy a dell product again. DELL, be a decent company, step up and do the right thing!!!

I reacted to the 7 beeps and did not notice the M5010.  Mine was a M5030 but the same massive failure with overt reasons.  Took it in and was brushed off and told to buy a new one.  BTW, there are some You Tube videos on how to fix the laptop but I don't see the expense or effort worth it if you really aren't a repair tech w/ all the necessary tools.  I won't be engaging on this item any more.  It is all too frustrating.  I have converted to Mac and wonder why I didn't do it years ago.
