XPS L501X Blue Screen Error "NETw5s64.sys"

I've recently had my laptop shut down for no reason and was hoping I could find an answer here.  My brother bought this laptop for me about 2 years ago and it has worked great. About a week ago for really no apparent reason a blue screen would appear and the error message would be "IRQL not less or equal", and just restart, when the laptop rebooted it would say that windows unexpectedly shut down and did I want to find a solution to the problem?

Windows never did locate the answer.

I thought there was something corrupted so I backed up all my programs and reset it back to the factory settings but now the shutdowns are happening more then ever!  There are times when it's even at the login page where windows 7 asks for the password and it will shut down and then reboot.  I thought it might be the Mcafee that might have been left over after I removed it but it still keeps shutting down. I'd like to do a screen shot of the error so I can show someone what is going on but I really have no idea how to do it.

I did run the debugging program from windows and it's stating the problem is NETw5s64.sys   I don't even how to disable this or if I even should or is there an update that will take care of this?

I haven't added any new hardware, everything is exactly as it came in the original box. I have only completed the downloads that Windows shows as updates and those recommended by Dell.

I haven't contacted Dell itself as of course my laptop is almost 2 years old and the warranty has run out on it, needless to say this is the first real problem I've had with any Dell computer and through the years I've owned 3.

I honestly do appreciate any help anyone can give.  Thank you all.

Hi Phoenix995,

The windows debugging error NETw5s64.sys indicate Intel Wi-fi drivers could be the cause. Uninstall and re-install the latest Intel wireless drivers available at the Dell support site. The same drivers are also available on the Intel website:

downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx

If the issue persists, run the Dell hardware diagnostics using this link:

support.dell.com/.../document

Do reply with the results.

Thank you so much for the help, this is exactly what was happening, once I updated the driver, my laptop didn't shut off anymore.
