Hi blaze,

Please connect the headphones and check if you face the same issue. If so, I will recommend you to uninstall and re install audio driver:

  • Click on 'Start' and right click on 'Computer'.
  • Click on 'Manage' and click on 'Device Manager'.
  • Expand 'sound, video and game controllers' and right click on each entry listed and click on 'uninstall'.
  • Once the driver is uninstalled, click on 'Start' and click on 'Control panel'.
  • Click on 'Programs and features' and look for the application by the name ‘Realtek’.
  • Right click on it and click on 'uninstall'.
  • Restart the system.
  • Click on the link: http://dell.to/RZ4Z0j
  • Click on 'Download Now' and select 'Single file download'.
  • Click on 'Continue'.
  • Click on 'Save' and save the driver on the desktop.
  • Right click on the driver from the desktop and click on 'Run as administrator'.
  • Install the driver following the on screen instructions.
  • Restart the system and check if the issue is fixed.

You can also update the BIOS in case the issue still persists:

Note: Please save any unsaved data as your system will restart automatically after updating the BIOS. Disconnect all the external peripherals like printer, camera, scanner, external hard drive, flash drive etc. Also, the battery should be charged 10% or above.

  • Click on the link: http://dell.to/S8eDLW
  • Click on 'Download Now'.
  • Select 'Single-file Download' and click on 'Continue'.
  • Click on 'Run' and follow the on screen instructions.

Keep me updated. Please reply for any further questions.

Hi blaze,

Thank you for the reply. There is no need to update the BIOS as your system already has the latest version installed. Please try connecting the headphones or the external speakers and let me know if you face the same issue.

I have added you as a friend. In case the issue still persists, please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.

I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag along with the system owner's name on a private message so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.

Please reply for any further questions.

the solution of this stutter

The solution for the original poster in this thread was to have repairs performed. Unfortunately no one shared with the community what those repairs were exactly, but I think the speakers (or subwoofer) were replaced. If you are still under warranty I suggest you contact Dell.

If you want to try software solutions, all of the known solutions are in the Choppy/Skipping Audio FAQ. Look in the sections for the L501x, L502x, L701x, and L702x. The solutions cover a wide range of noise issues but of course do not apply if the noise is caused by faulty speakers.

well i dont know how it is out of india but in india once ur on phone wid dell , they troubleshoot the problem n if its a hardware issue they send the engineer to ur place to fix ur machine

its a pretty fast process usually takes less than 3 working days

they fix n replace the parts in front of u

im a tech loving person so interacting wid these guys is amazing and i get to learn a lot from them ....friendly ppl
