I have this problem on my Vostro 3560, could you send me this zip file without using speedy.sh (using dl.free.fr or any other link where I will not have to register and pay to download the file)?
It would help me so much because I'm searching for this for days.
I've just had to rebuild my Vostro but had no discs with it and I cannot find the Dell (DP) Fingerprint Application software. The driver's seem to be readily available, but not the actual application software.
Here is what I did to solve my problem with my Vostro 3550 using Windows 8.1
1. Download the Digital Persona Fingerprint Software (from a link I have found looking over forums). I have uploaded all three I have found to my Mega folder (https://mega.co.nz/#F!gFEiVYCT!ENUYlEN35g5E2go_F1QgxQ). The one I have installed is the 5.20.230 x86 version.
Ok, done that I still didn't have my driver working properly.
2. Download again the driver from Dell website (Every time I tried to install the software, I got a message that the software should run in Windows Vista or Seven - almost got crazy at this point).
When I was to give up installing the software driver I took a last shot.
3. Open your Device Manager Window and update your fingerprint driver, when asked, choose the folder inside C:\Dell\Drivers (Mine was 3FJM6). Windows will install the drivers automatically.

That will get you the updated driver for Windows 8
This will get you the fingerprint application en.community.dell.com/.../20008614.aspx. Works for me!

Hi mate,
Thank you. Your solution works well on WIndows 8 (64).
Just install Validy Drivers and this software.
PS: Please host at another place, speedshare is requiring Premium to download.
