Latitude laptop numlock
I just bought a new Latitude laptop and can't get the numlock to work so I can use the embedded calculator keypad. It looks like it should be Function & F2 but this does not do anything. Only seems to work if I hold down the FN key and use the number pad, but this is not convenient when inputting lists of numbers.

Hi french123,
I regret for the delay in response.
Restart the computer and tap f2 on Dell logo to enter BIOS. Under POST behavior enable NUM lock and then Save and Exit.
Now restart the computer and try using the number pad and check if it’s working.
Please reply if you have any questions.

Hello, I have the same situation, in that I use the Num Lock, yet the keys will not lock to the number pad. On an E5420. I went through the BIOS set up and Num Lock is enabled, however the behavior remains.
1 - I use the Fn key and the jkl/uio/789 keys as numbers, but by holding down the Fn key
2 - I use the Fn and F2 key [num lock icon is on F2]. I then type with the jkl... keys, but they are still letters. I hold the Fn key down and try the jkl... keys, and nothing is typed. They do not output with num lock enabled and the Fn key held.
Not sure what to make of it. I would really like to be able to use the number pad keys [jkl....] without holding down the Fn key.
