Go to Dell Warranty Status enter your service tag, then click on original configuration. Look and see if your system has a backlit keyboard.
If it has a backlit keyboard, go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag, select your operating system. Under Applications, download and install Dell QuickSet
Hit the Windows and x keys at the same time.
(Windows 8 and 8.1 Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, Mobility Center)
You see...
You can control some functions there. My system uses the F6 button to turn the brightness to bright, dim or off. Some models use the Fn key and another key to change it.
I am experiencing the same problem with my new dell laptop that arrived in the mail today. Says it is supposed to have a keyboard backlight but it does not seem to be working. Is there anything I can do to correct this?
Hi.i have problem with my inspiron 7520 laptop.keyboard backlight doesn't work and i tried to turn it up by pressing fn and f6 but no response.can u help me plz?!
Hi i bought a (Dell Inspiron 5th gen 3000 i7 3543) recently and I'm just curious if my device is capable, because I reinstalled the quickset application and unhidden my files and there is a backlit keyboard.exe program but If I click on it, it says not found or whatever, is it possible to download or just simply active it somehow?
I have the same issue and this did work the first time I turned the computer on. Also I ordered this w Office 360 loaded, but it is not loaded or have any indication on how to use it.
