You can flash BIOS in the system and also discharge the battery completely till zero and then charge the battery. Please use the link below to update the BIOS.
i did the same as you said but there was a warning saying that "you are about to flash the bios to a same version and that dell doesnt reccomand it"...so i stopped, i dont want anything bad to happen...is that normal? should i ignore the warning?
You can still go ahead and update the BIOS in the system in spite of the warning. After updating the BIOS, please drain the battery completely till the system shuts down and then charge the battery to 100%.
Note: Close all applications and have the AC adapter connected during BIOS flash and do not interrupt this process.
ok, i did exactly as you recommended and after the 1st complete charge it is working normally now, but i hope it sustains this normality. thank you once again for your help.
I am glad that the battery is working fine, there is no problem with the battery it is a calibration issue. Sometimes this issue can happen for any battery, at that time please do the same step which I have given you previously and the battery will work fine.

Please connect the Ac Adapter while updating the BIOS and do not use the system once the update is initiated and until the system restarts completely.
Please do reply for further assistance.
