Hold down a volume key then move your mouse over the volume meter. Left click it and hold down the left click you should be able to move its location by moving the mouse. Release when happy. You may have to repeat with the onscreen brightness meter.
Thats worked for me on several Dell systems with Dell Quickset. Maybe I didn't explain what I meant clearly.
Hold down a volume key then move your mouse over the volume meter. Left click it and drag it to the desired location (hold down left the click while dragging).
yea that didn't work. Also i turned off my computer and now that I have turned it back on the volume meter isn't popping up again and I can't find the dell Quickset on my toolbar. Do you know why that occured? and thanks for the help, i appreciate it
Okay uninstall it and then restart the computer. Next download and CCleaner.
Run the cleaner and the registry cleaner (back up the registry when prompted). Reboot the computer again. Reattempt installation of Dell Quickset. See how it runs.

You should uninstall and reinstall Dell Quickset.
You should get it from here. There are 3 types of XPS 15 the L502X, L502X and L501X. The XPS 15z the L511z.
