I have Been using this machine for 5 months now and every game I have played work perfectly with high frame rates, so I don't understand how people are having problems, I have updated drivers and overclocked the Graphics, still no problem.
Best laptop I have ever had throw anything at it and it WORKS PERFECTLY//

The AMD Radeon HD will take over when you select an App or Game, if it dosen't the right click on your desktop and select configure switchable graphics, set to power save or high performance,
@Pittman2457 your screenshots are missing I'm interested in seeing what you got myself. Try using the "Use Rich Formatting" feature when you edit your last post. On the Tool bar is an option for "Insert Image" to the Left of the one that looks like a film strip. Just position your cursor in the Editor on an empty line and select "Insert Image" it will prompt you to browse your folders and will upload the pic. I think they need to be in .JPG format.
@joe9756 do what you like and what ever makes you happy, But the only true knuckleheads on here would be the ones that don't take the time to learn how their Graphic Cards work within their system, @Pittman2457 there's a person who took the time to learn about his unit, did some research and got it working better for himself, to those with knowledge on here it's obvious you had your mind made up already, glad to hear you decided to cut your losses and move on. But, word of advice, any unit you chose that has an Intel/AMD discrete card video setup, you'll be back at square one, educate yourself to help yourself out. Personally I avoid Intel/AMD setups and stick with Intel/Nvidia since there are less issues with driver compatibility with that.
There are to many people on here with not enough knowledge ready to blame everything else but their own lack there of with no understanding of Discrete Video cards, especially the ones that complain they want to be able to disable the Intel IGP - doesn't work that way anymore folks, you can't disable it. With that said, quite a few people have gotten it to work nicely here and read thru the comments here there are folks with Dell systems all claiming it works much better then before.
@joe9756 -Hmmm never stated you directly as a knucklehead but obvious from your reply you must feel that you must fit into that category if my comment hurt your feelings in anyway... Sorry about that.
I stated, those must be the folks who never took the time to learn about how their system work, pointed out facts that others seem to have it working with reference's to those facts, and showed that they have no issues with the setup. Especially people like @Pittman2457 who is obviously happy with their purchase and has it working nicely. Why is that? That's the question, perhaps the answer is... because they did some research into it.
Even though I laugh at the about the removal, it's funny because I get direct emails from all my threads I'm participating so even though it was removed I saw your implication. All I can say about that, grow up.
Some good advice, before you go and buy a RadioShack Unit which is probably near the bottom of anyone's list who happens to be in the know when looking for a Windows based machine. Do yourself a favor so you don't have to go thru taking a loss once again - Personally I believe you would be better off drinking the Apple Brand of Kool-Aid. I heard you can get a good dose of it at their "Genius Bar" where they specialize in holding hands and coddling folks like you.
***In this guide i have explained how to overclock core and memory clocks of 7730M for increased performance, this overclocking guide is safe since it doesn't involve messing around with voltage but somehow if you brick your gpu, i cannot be held responsible***
You will need,
*MSI afterburner (other OC tools like riva tuner, EVGA precision, sapphire trixx and asus gpu tweak won't work)
*Furmark
*Two .dll files namely, atipdl64.dll & atipdlxx.dll, these are needed since AMD has withdrawn support for official overclocking by removing overdrive option in catalyst control center of new drivers (google the names and download)
*At least two demanding games to test stability
Now follow these steps
*Install MSI afterburner and open the application, it will show you the stock speeds (you cannot overclock at this point, this step is just to create a profile folder)
*Now go to MSI afterburner installation folder and open a .cfg file named Afterburner with notepad, scroll down to the bottom and modify as shown below,
[ATIADLHAL]
UnofficialOverclockingEULA = I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it
UnofficialOverclockingMode = 1
*Save the file and paste a copy of it in profile folder also
*Now move the two .dll files into the MSI installation folder or move atipdl64.dll to windows>system32 and atipdlxx.dll to windows>SysWOW64
*Open the registry editor and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Cl ass\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}, find the following,
EnableCrossFire, EnableUlps & EnableUlps_NA, change all their values to 0.
*Restart
Overclocking
*Open MSI afterburner and modify the memory clock first, take it slow and increase the frequency by 10-15 Mhz. After each increase run furmark burn-in test at native resolution(1366*768) in full screen for at least 5 minutes. once you see artefacts or if furmark crashes reduce the frequency by 10Mhz.
*Repeat the above step for core clock also.
*I have read about a guy with hp laptop who couldn't get past 590Mhz with core clock, i was able to go till 645Mhz but the games became highly unstable so i had to again reduce the frequency. My final stable OC values are coreclock=610Mhz and memory=940Mhz.
*Use furmark only as a primary benchmark to test system stability and to monitor gpu load and temperature, your final benchmark should be the games. I used witcher 2 and Battlefield BC2, if games crash after overclocking just reduce the frequency by 10Mhz.
Getting BSOD during overclocking is normal. Make sure that you have not selected ''apply overclocking at system statup'' option in afterburner, if you select it you might get BSOD at statup.
*Save the profile of your most stable oc values and load it every time before you launch a game.
*Use fraps for in game fps monitoring and observe the increase in performance after overclocking.
@Pittman2457 - may want to edit the URL in your BIOS message ;) re: the ending of it re: Tag#. Also, thanks for the screen shots and the information on how to OC it. Sure other's on here are interested in that.
