mwalsten,

Try WPA-PSK(TKIP) Security(Personal)?

Try channel 11?

I usually recommend using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings

Check your virus program and firewall setings?

Rick - tried the adjusting the settings as suggested and no change.  I also tried to connect to another encrypted wireless network and with the same results.   When the connection is unencrypted, I'm able to connect.  When its encrypted, I'm not.   With trying this on multiple wireless networks, my assumption is the issue is not with the router but with the wireless adapter.   I've already uninstall and reinstalled the drivers with the same results.
