Hi prakul_v,

Welcome to the Community,

Try running the LCD BIST(built in self test). Press and hold D key while turning on the system.It will display the few color screens.Check the brightness on those color screens.If it is dull then it may not be a driver/software related issue.It could be an issue with the LCD screen.

Have you tried changing power plans and changing settings(brightness/power plan) on the graphics card software (ATI catalyst controller or the Intel Graphics application)?

Thanks for the reply sir. i conducted the LCD BIST and although all the colors were displayed but screen was dell than before. i've checked all other settings and they are all fine. What may be the problem according to you? As my system is out of warranty what shall i do?

Hi prakul_v,

Try reseating or even replacing the LCD(display cable). If that does not help then you may need a new LCD panel.
