Inspiron 1318 Factory Restore not working

Question

Hello,  My Dell Inspiron 1318 came packaged with Vista. I upgraded it to Windows7. Now I wanted to revert back to Vista.  I followed instruction given in following post.  http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&l=en&s=gen&docid=DSN_316056&isLegacy=true When I choose System Image Recovery, it says 'Windows cannot find a system image on this computer'.  I did not compromise any partitions, every partitions are there and in RECOVERY partition inside the directory DELL and image there is a file called Factory.wim is also presents.  My DVD drive is not working.  Is there any way I can restore image?  Thanks.

Once you installed 7, the quick restore is gone - you will need to manually reload Vista.

Thanks for the reply. As the recovery drive is accessible, Is there any way to do the same using command line?

understanding that the 'quick' restore app/prog/batch file is gone...how does one obtain a copy of the file that is missing?
