Well this sucks. If I cant find any solution I will return this laptop to the seller (who hasnt aswered to my emails yet, but im trying). If you manage to get over this somehow please post it here I will do the same!
I hope the abvoe mentioned link by Nocturnal112 will help you fix this issue, as I was the victim of the same situation, however, that got fixed... best way is whenever you experience any issue with the hardware system of your laptop, download and install the drivers from the dell auth'd website and it should fix any issue that you may be experiecing.
I'm happy with my Inspiron 3521, as far as its working great. The only issue I am looking for the clarification is, it doesn't have a keyboard backlight, that dissapoints me. Do share, if any of you have discovered the same issue as mine. Is it an issue to be fixed or is it by default feature only. Not sure, do share your experience. Thankx.
try this site i downloaded al my drivers from it .. http://www.touslesdrivers.com/ .. when you open it press mes drivers then complete by your own .. hope that will help you

The weird thing is that ubuntu immediately recognises all hardware and has the drivers built in. But windows doesnt. I hope someone will reply.

Hi,
The wireless drivers for Windows 7 64bit is available at
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/inspiron-15-3521
Select Windows 7 as the operating system and scroll down to Network.
Hope this helps.
