Hi ErikJohansson,

The Dell monitor needs to be registered only if it was purchased from outside Dell that is from either a retailer or online. The monitors don’t have Service tag, so to identify you as a Dell customer it needs to be registered and an Order number will be created. With this you can also avail in warranty services from Dell directly.
