irenexho,
Wiondows 7 and 8 make a system restore point each time you start the system. Go to system restore and go back 4 or 5 days.

The person didn't answer me so I didn't have to reply back.
No I did not make a restore point either because I didn't think this was going to happen.
I just tried that link and I had to stop because I could not find the lowerfilters. What now?
Did you reply back?
Maybe try...
Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs
Did you make a system restore point? If yes, go back to when it worked?
What operating system?
Do you have all your files and folders backed up on disks, like word, excel, pictures, music, etc?
May I ask, did you recently install/reinstall the operating system?
I just tried the fix it and it says that the media in the drive is unreadable (false, because four days ago the dvd was working perfectly fine).
I have recently tried to reinstall the Intel R HD video graphis and that's it, but that was according to the previous thread's instructions.
Did you try using the fixit?
Removing the upper and lower filters, then restarting the computer usually correct cd/dvd issues. The fixit is the easy method, this is a little more involved. How to Fix Error Code 39 with DVD or CD-ROM drive in Windows XP/Vista
the furthest it goes back to is the 26th and when I hit show more there are none.

Windows 7 and no but I can that easily
Okay. I really didn't want to have to come down to that but I guess have to. Thank you. I will do it now and see if it works.
Backup your files and folders.
The easiest method is Restoring Your Computer´s Software to the Factory Settings
If you made the Windows 7 - IMPORTANT Windows 7 Backup Disks to create you could try Restoring Your Dell Computer to Original Factory Installation with Dell DataSafe Local Backup 2.0
Everything would be back to factory.

So I tried to restore my computer but I am not given any restore options, the only restore option I got was system restore to a certain time.

If your restore options are gone, then the recovery image may also be corrupt. So you probable cannot make the Windows 7 - IMPORTANT Windows 7 Backup Disks to create
