To test the monitor unplug the video cable (VGA, HDMI or DVI) from the monitor, it would display “no video input or auto signal”. If the problem persist there, monitor needs replacement.
You can also check the video on a different monitor to isolate the issue.
Thank you for your reply, I have disconected de d-vid cable and I recieved the message D-Vid cabel unplugged.
At that time as there is no image on the screen the problem does not apear. But when I reconnect the cable afterwards the problem is still there. Though I have the impression that the problem only occurs in my browser (Firefox 18.0) and not on all web pages. As you could see I have the problem in my gmail mailbox and a few other sites, not all though.
So I am not sure that it is a hardware problem, it might be something with firefox or my graphic card?
When I go to my gmail mailbox in IE or Chrome I don't seem to have the problem.

Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for your reply.
I agree with you that if the problem occurs onlu on some webpages, it may not be a hardware problem.
I would suggest you to update the video drivers.
In case you have a Dell computer please let me know the system model so that I can help you update the latest driver.
Thanks & Regards
