Hi XPS14z,

We truly regret the inconvenience that has been caused to you.

Please let me know if USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port is not working on the system. We would require below information to assist you further:

Have you checked different USB devices on the same port?

Does the same USB devices work fine on other USB port?

Does the USB 2.0 devices work fine on the USB 3.0 ports?

Please provide us this information so that we can be in a better position to understand and resolve this issue.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

I have been also experiencing these issues with my XPS 14z. The USB ports (both) will often make windows explorer crash. Also, it takes a long time for any USB device to eject (specially USB drives and HD).

I have done the update on BIOS and CHIPSET and that did not work, any other solutions?

Thank you.

I also have no working USB ports on XPS 14z..  Yesterday, for about an hour the USB3 port started working and I was able to print from it to a USB2 printer.  Then it stopped and nothing, not even a flash drive will be detected.

Hi

I have just had the issue as well.

In the pas few months, one of the usb ports were on and off (sometimes one of them works, sometimes one of them dont, i dont remember which one). About two weeks ago, I started using a bluetooth mouse and it conflicts with mouse pad. At that time, i didnt know, i thought some software or window issue, so I re-installed window 7.

Now, I have re-install, figure out the confict and i dont use the bluetooth mouse any more. However, only one USB works (the one on the right, if you sit in front of the computer, i dont know which one is USB 2, which one is USB3). The one on the left doesnt work. I have tested and i'm sure the port doesnt work.

I have tried installing all three of the above drivers and it still doesnt work.

My laptop is the Dell XPS 14Z.

Hope you know what's wrong and how i can fix this. Having only 1 USB port is really inconvenient.

Looking forward to hearing from you
