Hi Nikolay Smolentsev,

Do follow the steps below to check the network card installed in the computer:

  1. Press “Windows + R key” to launch the run window.
  2. In run dialog box type “devmgmt.msc”.
  3. Press Enter.
  4. Search for Network Adapter.
  5. Click ‘+’ sign next to Network Adapter and check if it has any information under it.
  6. This will list the network card installed in the machine.

Now clikc on the below link to install the drivers accordingly.

  • Visit the link www.support.dell.com
  • Enter the Service tag of the computer in the box provided and click “Submit”.
  • In the next page, click drop down arrow to select Windows 7 64 bit Operating System which is installed in the computer.

Under the category Network, Select the drivers accordingly and click “Download File” and save the file on desktop.

Also, I recommend booting the computer to Safemode with networking (Restart the computer and tap F8 on Dell logo and select Safemode with networking).

Check if wireless works in Safemode with networking.

If the issue persists, Kindly private message me the service tag. I will help you with the correct drivers.

I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.

I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag and contact details so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.

Awaiting your response!

There is unknown device "network adapter" (in other devices). I already tried all drivers from DELL website. Nothing works. In safe mode it does not work as well. I have sent you a friend request containing service tag.

 Dear Dell People,

I am facing a strange problem with my inspiron 15 3241 i bought a week ago.

my machine connects to the wifi and accesses the internet. However like in every 10-30 minutes the internetaccess fails. the laptop keeps connected to the wlan, but it says no internet access. If i disconnect from the wlan and i reconnect again, internetaccess is okay, and the net flows until the next 10-30 minutes.

The other machines on the same wlan are a lenovo and a mobile device. Both of those have perfect and seamless netconnection.

please help me,

Cheers,

ZoT

Hi mckinneyw,

Is the issue with the wireless connection?

May I know the system model and the Operating system installed on the computer?

Check if the wireless works in Safemode with networking (Windows 7). Restart the computer and tap F8 at Dell logo. Select Safe mode with networking.

Awaiting your response!

I had the same issue with the wireless on this system as well. I upgraded all the software as recommended, still n/g.

I ended up turning off the power saver on the wireless adapter. Since then I haven't had any issues. It's been 3 days of no issues and I never got through 30 mins of web browsing prior to turning this off, so I'm pretty comfortable in saying it's resolved.
