Yes, there are two connections there. The hardwire one (allowing me to use the internet)(Im sitting right next to the modem) and the wifi connection that i am trying to connect to.
I have not recently reinstalled the OS (Windows 7), and I am using Windows Firewall
And the information you've asked is as follows:

See if this works first before we try other things.
Start, control panel, network and sharing center, change adapter settings, right click on local connection, left click properties, left click sharing. Uncheck the box, allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet Connection
Start, control panel, network and sharing center, click on your connection, click on properties. Look for TCP/IPv4 and TCP/IPv6 and click on properties for each. Have your settings match mine.
Start, control panel, device manager, network adapters, right click on DW1503 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card, left click uninstall. Tell it to remove the drivers and software.
Restart your computer. When you log back in, the new hardware wizard will try to install the drivers but fail. Install the drivers you saved to your desktop.
I did all the steps listed, and after all that the connection still has the same status. Unidentified Network, No Internet Access. This is getting ridiculous
If you have a Windows 7 operating system disk, you can insert the disk and stop it from running.
Start, all programs, accessories, right click on command prompt, left click run as administrator. Type
sfc /scannow (space between the c and /)
Hit enter. This will replace any missing or corrupt Windows files. You may get an error that some files cannot be replaced.
You can also scan for malware. Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware FREE edition(no trial) update it and do a quick scan. Post the log if it finds anything.

DellUserIan,
See if this works first before we try other things.
Start, control panel, network and sharing center, change adapter settings, right click on local connection, left click properties, left click sharing. Uncheck the box, allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet Connection

DellUserIan,
Microsoft Essentials shold not be a problem.
Download the Dell Wireless 1701 802.11 b/g/n, Wireless WLAN 1501 Half Mini-Card, Wireless WLAN 1503 Half Mini-Card, v.5.100.82.34, A00 drivers and save them to your desktop.
Make a system restore point.
Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled
Try to connect. What happens?

DellUserIan,
Also click on wireless properties, uncheck the box...
connect to a more preferred network if possible.
If your network is hidden, then it would show as an unidentified network.
