Thanks for the advice Dell-Senthill S! I figured it was an overheating issue, and I haven't ever cleaned the fan. I'll go ahead and download the BIOS (and any other updates) that might be necessary.

I'm curious though, can I simply spray the compressed air through the vents without removing the back? Or do I have to remove the back in order to properly clean it?

Hi senkafelina,

Most of the time system shuts down when it is overheating. So please clean the fan air vents using a can of compressed air.

Also update the BIOS in the system using the link below.

Hi senkafelina,

Power off your laptop, remove the battery and then use the can of compressed air through the air vents. It is not necessary to open the back cover.
